Gas and Flame Detection systems play a crucial role in the oil

Flame detectors utilize two detectors, one that reacts to ultra-violet light (UV) and the other to infrared light (IR). A flame produces both light spectrums, while items such as lightening or arc welding will not produce false alarms since these wavelengths are not present simultaneously.
